A story that changed the history
CSU was the first electronic means of payment processing company to launch an IPO in 2006, adjusting to the comprehensive framework of rules of the Novo Mercado (New Market) of BM&Fbovespa (CARD3), which endowed CSU with the highest level of corporate governance.
Marcos Ribeiro Leite, founder of CSU, was a visionary. In a scenario in which neither banks nor big retailers were issuing credit cards, he thought about developing tools to support the cards. Today, almost 20 years later, CSU’s history is part of the development of the Brazilian means of payment market. CSU was fundamental in moving and growing this market. It generated competition, developed proprietary technologies and created solutions as sophisticated as the most advanced ones anywhere in the world.
In 2010, CSU was the first company to become an independent processor also for merchant acquisition companies, who were responsible for the accreditation of commercial establishments into the network which accepted electronic means of payment. Its platform began operating early 2011, after becoming the first independent processor to be approved by international credit card brands.
Apart from being the leader in electronic means of payment processing, with 24 million credit cards, private labels and hybrids, CSU applies all its expertise to provide services to other sectors of the market, such as contact centers and direct marketing, by establishing partnerships with banks, insurance companies, providers of continuous services and retail chains.
With nationwide activities, CSU has business units in the main capital cities like São Paulo – SP [capital and in countryside Barueri – Alphaview], Belo Horizonte - MG, Recife – PE and Rio de Janeiro - RJ.
There are two macro business units:
The CSU CARDSYSTEM, outsourced management and processing services for the issuers of electronic payment means, and CSU CONTACT, management and solutions for Contact Center and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing).
